The Sardinia Region will build the Museum and Documentation Center of the Giudicale Sardinia, as foreseen in the “Regional Museum System”, with the aim of enhancing and making the historical heritage accessible.

The Administration will make the resources available and identify the most suitable form of management for the operation.

Confirmed the headquarters of Palazzo Arcais in Oristano and that of Sanluri, in the former Monte Granatico building .

The Framework Program Agreement on Cultural Heritage has earmarked 3 million euros for the construction of the Giudicale Museum.

As the Region itself underlines, the Department of Culture "will play the role of coordination to ensure effective and efficient progress in the design and implementation of interventions, through periodic meetings in order to keep the parties involved in the construction of both locations constantly updated. of the museum ".

"In addition - says the commissioner Andrea Biancareddu - the Ministry of Culture, as the owner of the Museum, will be asked to confirm the availability of the two shipwrecks of the Judicial era found during the excavations of the ancient port of Olbia (preserved in the deposits of the Olbia office of the Superintendence for the archaeological heritage of Sassari and Nuoro), to be exhibited, after restoration, in the Palazzo Arcais in Oristano ”.
