From Mauro Manca to Mario Sironi, from Stanis Dessy to Maria Lai, just to name a few artists. The paintings owned by the Municipality of Sassari are a notable heritage.
Teachers and students of the "Sironi" Academy of Fine Arts had proposed them in an exhibition that proposed an evocative journey full of notations. Now that project has become a precious catalog which this morning was delivered to Mayor Nanni Campus by Daniele Dore, director of the “Sironi” Academy and by Paola Pintus, coordinator of the Department of Communication and Art Teaching.
The catalog has the same title as the exhibition held in May at Palazzo Ducale: “Passages of identity. Visual changes from the Picture Gallery of the Municipality of Sassari".
Subsequently, a meeting was held at the former San Pietro Infirmary during which the students who worked on the volume explained all the steps that led to its drafting. The catalog reflects the experience of the first edition of the Curatorial Practices laboratory, activated by the Department of Communication and Art Education.
