Montevecchio , the fascinating mining complex between Guspini and Arbus , in southern Sardinia, reopens on Saturday 9 July with all the available tour routes.

After the stop imposed by the pandemic, the attractions of the mine are once again usable , a spectacular tourist-cultural site nestled between green mountains, a few kilometers from the Ingurtosu mines and the Piscinas dunes. Visits to the three itineraries "S.Antonio", "Officine" and "Piccalinna" also resume regularly.

The mine was the largest in Europe for the extraction of lead, and the visit offers the opportunity to retrace the revolutionary technological and industrial epic that pervaded Sardinia from the mid-nineteenth century to the Second World War . You can also experience underground experiences, traveling through a real mining tunnel, but also on the surface, among dozens of buildings, ten of which are in museums, spread over hundreds of hectares surrounded by woods.

Upon reservation, visits will be guaranteed every day in the morning and in the afternoon.

With the approach of August the openings will be implemented, and offered every day even without reservations.
