There is an immediate clash between the Labor councilor Desirè Manca (incumbent a few months ago) and the president of the Anci Daniela Falconi (elected a few weeks ago).

The first accused some mayors of not showing up at a meeting she called. The association of Sardinian first citizens replies: no invitation has arrived, now apologize.

On the agenda of the meeting of discord, which should have been held yesterday morning, was the discussion on an Aspal project for the financing of the territorial offices of the employment centres. There are 14 million euros at stake, to be spent by 2025. Manca wrote about it on social media: «When I arrived everything was at a standstill, blocked. A first preliminary meeting should have been held with the mayors of the municipalities involved in the project, organized via video conference to facilitate the presence of the guests". But it was "missed due to the lack of participation on the part of some of the first citizens called", accuses the councillor, who continues: "On this match it is very important that there is collaboration from the Municipalities, with whom it is necessary to do a collaborative work team to identify the physical locations in which the project can see the light and develop effectively. In a historical moment in which the unemployment rate in our region is very high, it is necessary to work quickly on the reorganization of the Employment Centers throughout the island, and in this process the participation of the mayors is of fundamental importance. I called this meeting confident that the objective was common. I will arrange to summon the mayors again, this time in person."

On the other side they don't fit. And in a note , president Falconi (mayor of Fonni) and secretary Francesco Spiga (mayor of Vallermosa) explain that «from an initial check, no summons appeared to have been received, neither to the emails of the Sardinian mayors nor to Anci Sardegna which usually acts as connection between institutions". Once again, Falconi attacks, « the mayors are exposed to public shame for what appears to be a simple mix-up in the meetings that could have been resolved with a phone call. It is sad to note that this "lightness" comes from those who represent the institutions and should be well aware of the work that all mayors do for their communities every day."

From the Anci they add: "We trust that the councilor will rethink the words used and even an official apology wouldn't be bad."
