Jewels and shawls, hats and dresses, the art of Sardinian stylists shone on the catwalk of the final of The Look of the Year, now in its forty-first edition. With their original creations, in a successful combination of tradition and innovation, Irene Piccinnu, Barbara Dalu, Marinella Porru, Bettina Tola, Rosalba Piras and Gianfranca Dettori, made Sardinia the protagonist.
The fashion show, on the final evening of the event of the patron Nuccio Cicirò, at the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo; clothes and accessories were worn by the winning models of the past editions . «There was so much emotion in seeing the creations of our stylists parade», comments Luisa Cardinale, creator of the project. «Above all, garnering the appreciation of important fashion figures such as Chiara Boni, the images of the collections are already circulating all over the world. Great satisfaction for the choice of some clothes by Marinella Porru and Barbara Dalu, protagonists of the photo shoot of an important global brand».
The winners of the competition, which has always been a launching pad for future top models, were the Venezuelan Eliseth Santacruz Gonzales and the Estonian Stepan Semjonov . While the stylist Chiara Boni received the “The Look of The Year 41st edition” award from the Liguria Region Tourism Councilor, Luca Lombardi. The event was presented by the Swedish showgirl and model Victoria Silvstedt and the actress Alessandra Monti.
