The book is a choral work with texts by Giuseppe Caboni who has dedicated studies and research to the world of Emilio and Joyce, and cartoons by the painter and illustrator Giorgio Podda. «It is a way - explains Dessì - to renew and to introduce young people to two experiences of great value in the tumultuous history of the last century. Emilio and Joyce fought against fascism and risked their lives to make the ideas of justice and freedom triumph». “Who said life is short? Nothing is true. Life is as long as our actions» , writes Joyce who considers the younger generation to be his "living future ". So Emilio : «The duty of young people is to participate in the life of the new society and the new century with the same spirit of the Resistance and Liberation». Ideas and values that run through the book edited by Dessì and enriched by the precious contributions of Caboni and Podda.
