The autumn breeze stirs not only the leaves, but also the curtains at the Teatro Astra in Sassari: this week, the stage on Corso Cossiga 5 returns for the first two events of the autumn festival. Organized by Associazione ArtsTribù and Farò Teatro, the sixth edition of "Tribù Teatrali" will host the shows "Senza Zucchero" by Francesca Saba (Thursday the 30th) and "Dixie! - un racconto jazz" by Michele Vargiu (November 18th). Both performances will begin at 8:45 PM and will be repeated the following day as a matinee for visiting schools.

A preview of the Astra's rich autumn lineup, Saba's piece and energy provide an excellent introduction: "Senza Zucchero" has been performing for several years, bringing its protagonist's scathing and ironic tone to numerous issues from a female perspective, combining laughter and reflection, and blending stand-up comedy and theatrical performance in a monologue about the daily challenges facing all women.

The November 18th production will feature a reading of an original text by Vargiu, performed on the stage of the Teatro Turritano, accompanied by the jazz quartet of Luca Chessa (saxophone), Andrea Budroni (piano), Lorenzo Agus (double bass), and Jacopo Careddu (drums). A story that is almost a journey through time to discover the roots and culture of jazz, passing through Sicily, New Orleans, and the smoky clubs of New York.
