Seui is preparing to host "Una vita," a solo exhibition dedicated to Gavino Sanna, one of the Italian and international protagonists of communication and creativity.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday 23 October at 6.30 pm in the spaces of the Fabbrika di Kimbe , in via Giuseppe Garibaldi 38, and will remain open until 22 November.
The exhibition traces Sanna's long career through images, advertising campaigns, photographs, drawings, and caricatures. A journey into the work of a creative who transformed ideas, characters, and stories into images that have become part of the collective memory.
But the focus isn't just on the advertiser. "Una Vita" also chronicles the man, his connection to Sardinia, and the irony that has accompanied his professional journey both on the island and around the world. "The goal, in these dark times we're living in, is to give visitors a few moments of lightheartedness," explains Gavino Sanna . The exhibition will feature hundreds of caricatures of figures from every field: "Portraits that spare no one, but without malice. Irony is certainly the main ingredient of this exhibition."
The choice of venue was also noteworthy. "For an inland town, hosting Gavino Sanna's works, until now only exhibited in the city, is a great satisfaction," emphasizes Mayor Fabio Moi .
The event is part of the town's calendar of events and will also accompany "Su Prugadoriu," the traditional late-October event that attracts numerous visitors every year. "Una vita" is organized by the Municipality of Seui with the support of the Fondazione di Sardegna and the collaboration of the cultural association Isula Eventi e Natura, the Fondazione Seui, and Fabbrika di Kimbe.
