The timeless legacy of an artist now synonymous with his genre, coming from prestigious international stages to the island: the acclaimed tribute ensemble " Paco de Lucía Legacy " arrives this Friday at the MusiCa Arena in Cagliari for its Italian premiere , an official tribute to the greatest flamenco artist of all time. The doors open to the public from 9:00 p.m., with the opening act being performed by the expert Stefania Secci Rosa .

Following a resounding success, starting with its extraordinary debut at New York's Carnegie Hall two years ago, Sardegna Concerti now brings to the capital a project conceived to celebrate the genius, life, and artistic legacy of Paco de Lucía , born under the aegis of the Foundation dedicated to him. The revolutionary guitarist, who passed away twelve years ago, not only brought flamenco to stages around the world but also transcended its stylistic boundaries, broadening its horizons to jazz, classical music, and popular traditions , transforming it into a universal language.

The on-stage lineup comprises nine internationally renowned artists, a transatlantic ensemble composed of Duquende and David de Jacoba on vocals, Farru on baile, Alex Escalera on flute, Juan Habichuela Nieto, Josemi Carmona, and Antonio Sánchez on guitars, Julian Heredia on bass and percussion, and Ramonín on percussion. This exceptional team also includes longtime collaborators of de Lucía during his final years. The result is a journey into the artistic universe of Paco de Lucía , who revisits his most famous compositions and reinterprets them with a contemporary and vibrantly forward-looking approach, demonstrating the maestro's relevance to the present.

An event part of the Cagliari dal Vivo 2026 program, to which the Municipality , the Region , the Ministry of Culture and the Fondazione di Sardegna contributed.
