A new appointment with the musical series "Il Filo Rosso" curated by the Santa Cecilia Polyphonic Association, under the artistic direction of Alessio Manca. Saturday at 7 pm at the Franciscan Library of Santa Maria di Betlem, in Sassari, the program is scheduled for Chamber Concerto for Wind Instruments: Three Woodwinds between Classical and Contemporary Trio Kadosséne.
The chamber music group is composed of Pietro Nonnis on flute, Pasquale Iriu on clarinet and Sonia Vargiu on bassoon.
The project takes audiences through two seemingly distant worlds: on the one hand, Gavino Medas's "Tre spunti popolari della Sardegna" (Three Popular Notes from Sardinia), written in 1954 and inspired by melodies that are part of the island's collective memory; on the other, the refined classical balance of François Devienne's "Trio opera 61," a composer who lived between the 18th and 19th centuries and was capable of combining elegance and instrumental vitality.
