The preliminary hearing of the Juventus trial, linked to the irregularities in the financial statements between 2018 and 2021, has been set for 27 March . It is the procedure that sees the former top management of the company under investigation, and which led to the resignation of the board at the end of November.

The illicit profit assumed by the Turin prosecutor's office was 408 million between fictitious capital gains and maneuvers on the budgets of some players following the pandemic. On the other hand, the ordinary shareholders' meeting will be held on Wednesday to ratify the appointment of the new Juve top management proposed by the controlling shareholder Exor.

The file

Fifteen folders for a total of over 11,000 pages of documents. The file assembled by the Turin prosecutor's office with the so-called sources of evidence in view of the preliminary hearing on Juventus' accounts is of this size .

The charges, calibrated according to the conduct alleged against the individual suspects, are fifteen and range from market manipulation to false communications by a company listed on the Stock Exchange, from obstructing the supervisory authorities to fraudulent declarations using documents for fictitious transactions; for Juventus, called into question as a legal person, it is assumed that the rules on the liability of entities have been violated.

Among the papers in the proceeding are the minutes of 18 Juventus (or ex) players, of the former coach Maurizio Sarri, of Gabriele Gravina, president of the FIGC. For Cristiano Ronaldo, who is abroad, there is a summons as a person informed of the facts and a request for a hearing by letter rogatory. Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved, two former executives, the lawyer Cesare Gabasio and Juventus itself, through their lawyers, have filed defense briefs.
