The James Webb Space Telescope has been scanning the universe since this summer and in June it targeted a cluster of galaxies with the aim of looking for the first galaxies to appear in the universe.

In the video, a shot that tells us about primordial galaxies. Those that formed when the universe was 300/400 million years old.

We are looking at a universe more than 13 billion light years away from us. The image reveals the most distant galaxies ever observed. They are a little different from what we expected. They are more compact but richer in stars.

This means that perhaps they formed faster than we thought. Perhaps the first stars appeared earlier than we thought.
