The Istòria Cultural Festival, a complex event, started yesterday with the conference dedicated to the valorisation of the tangible and intangible heritage of the Foundation Cities with exceptional speakers, including Professors Maria Luisa Di Felice and Carlo Pilia, luminaries of the University of Cagliari. in nine days and focused on the themes of identity, the environment, the landscape and, more generally, the relationship between water and territory.

A widespread event, which starts from MUBA, the Arborea Reclamation Museum, and involves several places in the city centre, including cinema, theatre, conference rooms and other sites of great historical and environmental importance in the town founded by Venetian settlers.

«An event aimed at all citizens - as the mayor of Arborea Manuela Pintus explains - with conferences, concerts, guided tours, a film festival and tastings of typical products and wines: many events until Sunday 26 November. Then the festival will continue next month with three contests: the photography competition "Water according to me", the painting competition "Arborea according to me" and the competition of ideas for the redevelopment and urban valorisation of the former secondary adductor canal in Corso Roma in front of the Town Hall."

Among the highly anticipated important events will be the one scheduled for Wednesday 22 November at the Salesian theater entitled "The land and wine: Arborea doc", a meeting with protagonists Roberto Ripa, journalist of L'Unione Sarda, and the oenologist Piero Cella who, at 6.30 pm, will tell the story and anecdotes of the world of viticulture in Arborea. We will talk about viticulture and oenology in the years in which the cooperative winery was operational with all its varieties due to the intertwining of cultures and traditions that characterize Arborea, in particular the two DOC, "Arborea Trebbiano" and "Arborea Sangiovese", non-Sardinian varieties, but linked to the reclamation territory for decades.

Tomorrow there will be space for one of Arborea's excellences, polenta , with a conference organized by the Pro Loco led by Paolo Sanneris who this year organized the great event for the fortieth anniversary dedicated to this typical dish which inextricably links Veneto and Sardinia. Of great interest is the film festival, "Cinelstoria", which will offer a selection of films that will explore issues related to water and reclamation.

Today, however, there will be space for music : at 7pm at the Teatro dei Salesiani concert by the award-winning choirs of children's voices and polyphonic mixed voices, the Don Bosco and Santa Cecilia of Arborea, directed by maestro Riccardo Zinzula, appointed director of the Civic School of Music of the Municipality of Oristano.

All events are free to enter.
