In the heart of Cagliari, in the historic building at Via Ada Negri 28, Palazzo Marini, in the 1970s, the beloved Assunta Pittaluga founded her dance school, destined to become a true artistic hub. Throughout the years, the Assunta Pittaluga Dance School has focused its attention on multiple disciplines.
artistic forms, expanding the range of expression: acting, music, and the visual arts. Numerous dancers and teachers have trained at this school.
The artistic offering is broad and its focus has always been classical dance.
Pre-dance courses (from age 3) and various levels of preparatory dance are dedicated to children, as are academic technique courses for the very young and adults, including beginners. Individual courses and lessons are also offered for various levels and all ages. There are also Modern, Heels, Oriental Dance, Floor Barre, and gymnastics courses.
And more: Argentine Tango with Pier Gavino Meridda; Body Consciousness®, the discipline reserved for dancers and actors, extensively studied by Anna Paola Contis and taught by Laura Merci; Eurhythmy with Korinna Kreutzmann; and the Feldenkrais Method® with Stefania Polato. The facility also hosts the Cagliari International Academy of Musical Arts, directed by Emanuele Diana.
