The archive is the place of memory, of human activities and of past things that determine the present and stimulate future choices. It is the historical archive of the Culture Center for Permanent Education of Santu Lussurgiu, born from the pedagogical enthusiasm of maestro Francesco Salis, UNESCO winner in 1967. It has a rich heritage of documents, audiovisuals, photographs that tell stories of men and of the education of a community to eradicate illiteracy.

The archive tells of a society to be discovered that wants to be told in its intimacy, civic awareness and democratic commitment: an archive finally recognized and codified by the Archival Superintendency of Sardinia, which will be kept in the headquarters of the Luxurious Cultural Centre.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 12th at 4.30pm in the Off space in via Marche 19 in Cagliari, the birth of the historical archive of the Culture Center for Permanent Education of Santu Lussurgiu will be made official.

Speakers at the meeting include Monica Grossi, archival superintendent of Sardinia, Vitaliano Gemelli, president of the national UNLA, and Marcello Marras, coordinator of the Sardinian UNLA Centres.
