The government is challenging the regional law on budget changes
Some provisions "exceed the statutory powers and are in conflict with state legislation"
Palazzo Chigi rejects the regional law on budget changes.
This was announced by the Council of Ministers which, on the proposal of the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomy Roberto Calderoli, «examined forty-four regional laws and decided to challenge the law of the Sardinia Region n. 17 of 12/19/2023, containing “Amendments to regional law n. 1 of 2023 (Stability Law 2023), budget changes, recognition of off-balance sheet debts and past liabilities and various provisions".
«Certain provisions – we read in the press release of the CDM – exceeding the statutory competences and being in conflict with state legislation on metropolitan cities, urban planning, protection of competition and protection of health , violate articles 3, 5, 9, 117, first paragraph, second paragraph, letters e), p) and s), and third paragraph, and 120 of the Constitution".
