The Foo Fighters are on vacation in San Teodoro.

Some members of the American rock band, the leading alternative rock group of recent years, are spending a few days in a well-known hotel in the coastal village , dividing themselves between beach life by day and downtown clubs in the evening.

Ramy Jaffee , keyboardist of the band, and his girlfriend, the model Christine Pillow , have been choosing San Teodoro and this small hotel a stone's throw from La Cinta for years for their summer holidays.

«They have been coming here to the Hotel al Faro for years – says Giacomo Sanna, manager of the hotel – here they feel at home and we have become friends».

Back from the efforts of the only two European dates of the 2023 world tour, which in early June saw him take the stage in Germany alongside front-man Dave Grohl and his companions, Ramy Jaffee enjoys the informal and relaxed atmosphere of the historic Teodorino hotel , one of the first to arise in the country, away from the spotlight and crowds of adoring fans. Thanks to the informal clothing of t-shirts and flip flops, the well-known American keyboardist and music producer, and his partner, have gone unnoticed despite a San Teodoro already very crowded with tourists.

In fact, it seems that no one recognized him, but Ramy still didn't shy away from a selfie with his friend Giacomo Sanna, who has welcomed him and other members of the band for years, guaranteeing them the privacy they seek in this place.

"They are very calm people and they deeply love this area - continues Sanna - they really experience it at 360 degrees , from the sea and the beaches but also along the surrounding trekking routes".

The Foo Fighters are an important part of world rock history , the group was in fact founded by former Nirvana drummer, Dave Grohl, following the death of the late Kurt Cobain. Among their most successful songs, "Learn to Fly" and "Everlong", the latter included in the soundtrack of the film "The Wolf of Wall Street" with Leonardo di Caprio. And then pieces like "Walk", "Best of you" and "The pretender", which in 2008 won the Grammy for best hard rock song of the year. The two concerts in Germany on June 2 and 4 are among the first after the sudden death, in March 2022, of the band's drummer Taylor Hauwkins.
