The 13th edition of the Figari International Short Film Fest, which will be held in Golfo Aranci from 26 June to 1 July, was presented in Cannes during the film festival.

Waiting to know the details of the event, the guests and the titles of the films in competition, the artistic director Matteo Pianezzi and the other two organizers Francesca Vargiu and Mauro Addis have announced the program of the event which will see over 40 titles competing, representing 26 Countries, special prizes dedicated to the best young Italian actors, illustrious jurors and the whole world of the short film industry.

In addition to the short film competition, the first part of the week will be characterized by the delivery of special prizes: above all the Beatrice Bracco Prize, already won by actors of the caliber of Alessandro Borghi, and the Guglielmo Marconi Prize, awarded to those who, during the year solar, distinguished himself through the use of video as a communication tool. Among the most coveted awards this year are the Rai Cinema Award and the France TV Award, which will allow two short films to be purchased and then broadcast by the two broadcasters.

Because in the end the protagonists of the Figari are above all the films, selected this year among the over 1,500 shorts received from all over the world; live screenings are planned, open to the public and free, for the five main sections: National, International, Animation, Regional, Red Shoes. To judge the short films, as every year, a jury made up of important names from the Italian and foreign film scene.

The 7th edition of the Figari International Short Film Market will also be held from 29 June to 1 July, dedicated to professionals of the short film industry, with the special project Looking 4, for which four directors will have the opportunity to present their short film projects in stage of development to a parterre of national producers, with the hope of one day seeing their films produced by one of the companies involved.
