The Figari Film Fest announces the nominations for the 14th edition, scheduled from 14 to 18 June in Golfo Aranci.

Competing for the International section are “Les Silencieux” by Basile Vuillemin (France), “There is no frind's house” by Abas Taheri (Iran), “Les mains sales” by Julien G. Marcotte and Jani Bellefleur-Kaltush (Canada), “Titanic, Suitable Version for Iranian Families” by Farnoosh Samadi (Iran), “Sincopat” by Pol Diggler (Spain), “Blueberrylands” by Lauri Karo, Veeti Hautanen and Marius Valtanen (Finland), “3MWh” by Marie-Magdalena Kochová (Czech Republic), “Ciela” by Mauricio Sierra (Mexico), “The Film Might Be White” by Sebastian Johansson Micci (Sweden) and “Little” by Meka Ribera and Álvaro G. Company (Spain).

In the running for the National section instead are “Pinoquo” by Federico De Mattè, “Chello 'ncuollo” by Olga Torrico, “Agnus day” by Giuseppe Isoni, “Foto di Gruppo” by Tommaso Frangini, “Polo Nord” by Antonio Corsini, “ Come in the branches the rain” by Juri Casagrande Conti, “Rosso” by Lorenzo Puntoni, “We should all be futurists” by Angela Norelli, “Turisti” by Adriano Giotti and “When I grow up” by Niccolò Salvato and Paolo Grassi.

Therefore, the Regional section: competing for the recognition for the best Sardinian short “Tilipirche” by Francesco Piras, celebrated with two prizes at Cortinametraggio and nominated this year for the Silver Ribbons, “Shooting at the watermelons” by Antonio Donato, “Blu ” by Michela Anedda, “Frarìa” by Alberto Diana and “S'Ozzastru” by Caterina Melis.

The jury destined to judge the films of the film festival directed by Matteo Pianezzi will be revealed close to the event, like the winners of the Beatrice Bracco Award, the Rai Cinema Award and the France TV Award.

The Figari International Short Film Market has also been confirmed: the 8th edition of the event dedicated to professionals in the short film industry will take place, again in Golfo Aranci, from 16 to 18 June.
