A poetic dance celebrating the queer body and soul on a long, sunny summer day. The English company Mobius Dance presents the show on Tuesday at the Teatro Civico in Sassari (starting at 9 p.m.). The long summer day ” for the “Corpi in movimento” dance festival

Directed by Gianluca Vincentini and Fabiano Culora , the show is a sensory journey that in fifty minutes evokes the sweetness and intensity of a long summer day, from dawn to cosmic night. A journey in which the Performers Naomi Chockler, William James, Michelle Scappa, and Allegra Vistalli invite us to rediscover the joy of inhabiting ourselves without justification or armor, to give solemnity to the beauty of existence and transformation, exploring ways to express "what makes us feel good."

"In a world that too often portrays LGBTQIA+ bodies only through stories of trauma, 'The Long Summer Day' is an act of freedom, healing, and reclamation, offering audiences a safe sanctuary where there's no need for armor, just the right to rest and play," the creators explain.

"The Long Summer Day" was funded by a Project Grant from Arts Council England. The " Corpi in Movimento " festival is organized by Danzeventi.
