An important collaboration agreement between the Sardinian Regional Directorate of Museums and the Egyptian Museum of Turin .

The objective is to carry out survey, analysis and research programs aimed at studying the three hundred Egyptian-related artifacts found in Tharros and now present in the collection of the "Giovanni Antonio Sanna" National Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Sassari.

The agreement, signed by the director of the Sardinian regional directorate, Luana Toniolo, and by the director of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum Foundation of Turin, Christian Greco, also provides for the elaboration and scientific support of research programs and projects , with publication and dissemination of the results obtained.

In the coming days, an Egyptologist from Egypt will arrive in Sassari to analyze and study the finds in the Sanna Museum collection. It will be the first step in starting a solid and structured interaction that will act as a bridge, not only virtual, between two museums rich in history.

The memorandum of understanding will have a duration of three years .

A series of initiatives is planned that will involve the area and the leading experts in the world of culture with the organization of exhibitions, conferences, studies, research, and the production of publications, initiatives, educational and dissemination activities, also for the purpose of social inclusion.
