Barbara Krejcikova wins a hard-fought Wimbledon final against Italian Jasmine Paolini, who also managed to cancel two match points. But it wasn't enough.

The match started with an apparent dominance of the Czech, who with a non-violent but constant and precise dribble had induced her opponent to make mistakes several times: the first three games flew by in a few minutes, with Paolini's opponent he seemed like a steamroller who wasn't afraid of making mistakes. The first set ended 6-2, even if towards the end the Italian showed signs of a reaction.

A change of direction that took shape during the second set: Paolini raised the pace, overturning the balance. Precise and no longer afraid, the Italian conquered break after break and closed the fraction with an identical score to the first, but with the values reversed.

The third set was much more balanced, with the players holding serve until 3-3. Paolini lost it with a double fault in the last point of the next game.

At 5-4 Krejcikova served. The game ended with the advantages, with the Czech burning two match points. But in the end he prevailed, after an hour and 56 minutes.

Defeated on the court, but Paolini was the first Italian tennis player to take to the Wimbledon grass in the final. The audience was with her.
