The Sarto Galleries in Paris exhibit 26 drawings by the Sassari artist Pino Manos in October. They start from the 1950s and run throughout his career keeping the focus on research in "Synchronicity" and "Spatial Consciousness". The exhibition dedicated to the artist who passed away two years ago also offers several Synchronic works on canvas, some on loan from the Opera Gallery which since 2016 has opened a collaboration with Pino Manos.
Known for his monochromatic paintings with intertwined stripes where the form blends with the shadows (but the Chromonasters are also notable) the artist has also produced many more intimate drawings , evidence of a permanent and endless artistic research.
Pino Manos is one of the best known representatives of Spatialism , founded by Lucio Fontana, but his research has gone even further.
Pino Manos had already exhibited in Paris, while a year before his death he had been included in the collective exhibition of the Opera Gallery in London entitled "Spaziale! Italian Spatialism and its Legacy", dedicated to the artists of Spatialism.
The initiative of the Sarto Galleries, in collaboration with the Pino Manos Archive, confirms how much attention and esteem the Sassari artist has been able to collect also in Europe and even in New York, a city that hosted a solo show in 2015.
