Market in strong expansion and growth at pre-pandemic levels: turnover of 5.8 billion and more than 19.7% in investments and more than 16.5% in turnover. These are the Cna data for 2021 on the construction market in Sardinia .

The comparison is with the numbers of 2020. But the challenge is also won with the period before the virus: + 9.8% and + 12% on 2019. Percentages dragged by the super bonus : + 29.1% on homes, growth of 13 , 5% for other properties.

"For 2022 - explain Francesco Porcu and Antonello Mascia , general secretary of Cna and president of Cna constructions - it is impossible to make predictions: the unknown factor is above all the ongoing war in Ukraine".

Real estate market boom : home sales increased by 33.5% . While there is a surge (63.5%) on transactions destined for productive and commercial uses.

Public works very well with an increase of 8%. In general, companies are growing (plus 209) and employment is consolidating: 3,000 more employees with an increase of 24.2% on 2019.

As for the future "it is important - said Porcu - not to waste the opportunity of the NRP. For this reason it is important to support the planning of the municipalities with a task force". Hence an appeal to the Region: "Convene a table - said the Cna leaders - with the social forces, local authorities and regional administrations to better coordinate the implementation of investments".

IN THE TERRITORY - Sassarese is doing very well with a 24% growth in business value. Nuoro follows with more than 16%. In double figures also Cagliari and South Sardinia with an increase of 12.4 and 10.3%. As regards the market shares, Cagliari and South Sardinia absorb more than 45% of regional production with 2.3 billion. Sassari is in second place with 1.8 billion, 35% of the total. Oristano and Nuoro share the rest: 380 and 630 million.
