The Chamber of Deputies rejected with 213 no votes (121 yes votes, 3 abstentions) the motion of no confidence presented by the M5S, and signed by all the opposition parties with the exception of Italia Viva, against Daniela Santanché.
The Minister of Tourism was not present in the Montecitorio Chamber due to commitments related to her role.
There were 337 present, 334 voters.
Among the first comments was that of the mayor of Milan, Beppe Sala, who, referring to Santanché, spoke of the need to "seriously consider taking a step back".
Sabrina Licheri, Five Star senator, also underlined the need to take a step back "for decorum and respect for the institutions".
Minister Santanché is under investigation for fraud against the INPS and false accounting.
