All brass. The power of twenty brass instruments for one of the most awaited appointments on Wednesdays at the Conservatory. Tomorrow in Sassari, in the Sala Sassu starting at 19 free concert offered by the Canepa Brass Band born 16 years ago thanks to Gavino Mele and Antonio Mura, teachers of Horn and Trumpet.

The program will include, among others, Richard Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, Nino Rota's immortal pieces and John Williams' famous Jurassic Park score, all arranged by David Short for this particular orchestra .

The Brass Band of the Conservatory, directed by Gavino Mele, is formed by Antonio Mura, Emanuele Dau, Diego Aresu, Andrea Gareddu, Lisa Mangini, Agostino Pintus, Lorenzo Pintus (trumpets); Antonio Dettori, Danilo Ogno, Davide Cordeddu (horns); Mario Pilati (euphonium); Salvatore Moraccini, Giuseppe Carboni (trombone); Roberto Orrù (bass trombone); Giovanni Fenu, Roberto Greco (tuba) plus Silvia Cossu (timpani), Simone Argiolas and Alice Corrias (percussions).
