The Turin Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a file on the case of Paul Pogba , the Juventus player who reported to the French authorities that he was the victim of blackmail. The hypotheses of the crime or the precise terms of the question being examined by the Turin magistrates are not known.

What is certain is that the story of the blackmail to the midfielder has returned to talk in these days following a video in which Mathias Pogba, his brother, said he was aware of "secret" and "embarrassing" facts about Paul , on the lawyer Rafaela Pimenta, his attorney, and on the PSG star Kylian Mbappè.

After the "threats" of Mathias, it was discovered that since August in France an investigation has been carried out for " extortion attempts " by a criminal gang against Pogba. The Juventus midfielder is allegedly victims of threats and attempted extortion by the same brother - with whom he is on bad terms - and some childhood friends, who allegedly blackmailed him asking him for 13 million euros . In one case, two hooded men armed with assault rifles even threatened him.

And last March, when Pogba went to visit his family in Lagny sul Marne, his "friends" would drag him into an apartment and accuse him of not having helped them financially enough since he became a professional footballer.

Pogba told French investigators that he saw his blackmailers, including his brother, also in Turin, at the Juventus training center . He also said he had always helped them financially, but last January relations broke and he was forced to kick them out of his home in Manchester because a friend had stolen € 200,000 from his credit card.

And Mathias' alleged imminent revelations are no surprise, Pogba's lawyers say, as blackmailers threatened to discredit him.
