It continues until tomorrow in the covered walk of the Bastion of Saint Remy in Cagliari “ Tem 2022: experiential tourism fair ”. Exhibition that aims to make known and enhance various aspects of Sardinia such as paths, traditional food, mountain villages, hospitality. Among the various participants there is also the Gal Ogliastra : "An important appointment for our territory - says the president of the Gal Vitale Pili - a presence that of the local Gal who brings its hospitality proposals to the exhibition dedicated to experiential tourism and that sees Sardinia as one of the favorite destinations for the splendid combination of natural beauties (coasts and inland landscapes), culture, traditions and food and wine , including the events of the shoulder seasons with religious festivals, hidden treasures in history and in the Sardinian traditions of strong tourist appeal ".

At the fair, the Gal takes part in the meeting on "The territory is told" and will be represented by the director Franca Seoni and the local development agent Annalisa Tosciri to present the Ogliastra destination, describe the intimate and authentic experience to discover unique places from a cultural, historical, environmental and spiritual point of view, in a land where hospitality is considered sacred.

“Our strength - underlines Seoni - is that of naturalistic and active tourism . Specifically, one of the types preferred by our visitors is in particular that which means tourism connected with populations, with respect for places, a tourism that dialogues with the places it reaches, that does not want to upset the territories it visits, that does not want to massifications but connect with our Island. This is a concept that must also respond to the climate emergency we are experiencing. We will have a tourism future if we recognize ourselves as connected to our origins, to a tourism linked to the populations, the only format that loves our environment and therefore respects it ".

" Ogliastra - adds Tosciri - is one of the destinations that is acquiring more and more land in particular in the last three years because it offers the ideal environment and climate for an experiential holiday , in particular the mountain Ogliastra, thanks to optimal temperatures and weather conditions in full tourist season and acceptable the rest of the year. Slow tourism is one of our strong points, in an area suited for trekking in the Gennargentu and Supramonte, which has the advantage of the climbing walls of the calcareous heels of Ulassai. All elements that guarantee a good decline that brings on average 207 thousand arrivals in 2021 for 1 million 82 thousand presences, there were 118 thousand arrivals in 2020 for 549 thousand presences. The fundamental recipe for improving the attractiveness of territories like this is made up of some essential ingredients: projects that define a path network, adequate transport, without sacrificing the quality of the proposals ".

Agri-food heritage, longevity, archeology are just some of the elements that make Ogliastra one of the richest and most interesting areas in Sardinia. In the future, the creation of the Ogliastra North-South itinerary is also planned, a trekking route that is being built in collaboration with the Forestas Agency, following the example of the famous GR 20 Corso.
