Is it possible to talk seriously but also laughably about same-sex marriage and gender equality? Yes, if you have the intelligence to craft a good play. Barbariciridicoli proves this by performing "Questo matrimonio non s'ha da fare" (This Marriage Must Not Happen) on Wednesday at 9 p.m. at the Teatro Astra in Sassari, directed by Tino Belloni .

The Ottana-based company stages a collective comedy, born from the improvisations of actors Mattea Cherubini, Maddalena Solinas, Giovanna Maria Marongiu, and Roberto Piredda , which addresses civil and social issues with irony and insight. Amidst misunderstandings, larger-than-life characters, and a surprising figure he met online, Pastor Tottoni Braghetta finds himself at the center of a story as hilarious as it is timely.

The show is the second title in the program of the Festival della Farce , a festival organized by the Teatro Sassari company.
