The Azuni High School guitar ensemble at the “Gitarzenekari Fesztival” in Budapest

Seventeen students and five teachers of the guitar ensemble of the Azuni Musical High School represented Italy at the “Gitarzenekari Fesztival” in Budapest.
Participation in the prestigious guitar festival took place thanks to the twinning of the Azunian students with their colleagues from two schools in the Hungarian capital , the Fischer Annie Zeneiskola of Budapest and the Dunakaniar Zeneiskola with offices in the districts of Szentendre and Budakalasz.
The ensemble performed a repertoire with pieces by Vivaldi, Maschera, Mascagni, Morricone and a composition by Professor Stefano Macciocu, one of the guitar teachers at the musical high school who accompanied the students to Hungary. The other teachers: Danilo Leggieri, Stefano Marrosu, Calogero Sportato and Luigi Vedele.
The students of the guitar course, enrolled from the first to the fifth class of the musical high school, were guests for five days with the families of their Hungarian colleagues , welcomed with warm hospitality and great interest in our culture in a country where Italian it is studied as a second language in many high schools.
The students Giacomo Cannoni, Greta Carta, Alessio Fadda, Amelia Faedda, Lucia Floris, Eleonora Gavini, Alessandro Ledda, Chiara Linzas, Nora Marras, Andrea Pinna, Stefano Pinna Nossai, Carlo Pirino, Emma Pota, Dario Russu, participated in the Hungarian trip.
