A double date with civic ballet at the Teatro Civico in Sassari. The fifth edition of the Aria Performing Art Festival , organized by Senza Confini Di Pelle , arrives in Sassari on Wednesday, September 9th. At 4 pm, there will be a conversation with ARIA's artistic directors, Dario La Stella and Valentina Solinas, followed by a performance by 11 performers in the dance theater show "Le Fenicie," choreographed by Michela Lucenti, at 9 pm.
Founded in 2003 in La Spezia by the choreographer Michela Lucenti – fresh winner of the prestigious “La stella dell'Arlecchino Errante” award – the Balletto Civile is A company of dancers and actors among the most original and innovative in the country, known for its mastery of combining dance, theater, and singing, and for its powerful physical and emotional approach to ethical and civic issues.
In the show "The Phoenicians," a free interpretation of Euripides' tragedy, gesture and word intertwine to recount the fall of Thebes as a reflection on the horrors of war and its repercussions in the present. A narrative and visceral dance, led by Michela Lucenti, transforms the myth into a political and necessary act: the body becomes memory, denunciation, and a living presence in our time. The performers on stage are Fabio Bergaglio, Maurizio Camilli, Antonio Carta, Ambra Chiarello, Francesco Collavino, Cecilia Francesca Croce, Giovanni Fasser, Michela Lucenti, Emanuela Serra, Giulia Spattini, and Mirco Tosches. Music by Daniele Boccardi and Ambra Chiarello.
