Romana was the preview, Sennariolo is the opening tonight and from tomorrow the tour of the Sardinian cities will begin which will see the 36th Figulinas Festival also land in Lanusei (11 August), Alà dei Sardi (12), Sorgono (15) Castelsardo (16) and Tula (18), in addition to the highlight of the two-day event in Florinas on 13 and 14 August. The five foreign groups were represented by a delegation this morning at the Chamber of Commerce for the presentation of the international folklore festival organised by the Figulinas association and the Municipality of Florinas, and included in the Salude & Trigu network.
Even at first glance, you can sense the explosion of colors, dances, and sounds coming from South America, thanks to groups from Brazil, Bolivia, and Mexico; from Oceania, with the Maori of Aotearoa; and from China, with Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. Naturally, the music and dance competition will also feature Sardinian groups: in addition to the hosts from Florinas, Atzara, Ozieri, and Oniferi will also be participating.
A tour dedicated to cultural exchange and, above all, friendship, which is also the title of the festival scheduled in Florinas on Friday with the show "Incantos."
The presentation was attended by the mayors of Florinas and Castelsardo, Enrico Lobino and Maria Lucia Tirotto, as well as Alessandro Chessa representing the Figulinas association and Danilo Spano for the Salude & Trigu program.
