The Porto Cervo Conference Center is ready to open its doors for the final event of the 2026 Costa Smeralda Award.

Tomorrow at 5:30 pm, the winners of the seventh edition of the literary prize, promoted by the Costa Smeralda Consortium and sponsored by Smeralda Holding, with the patronage of the Municipality of Arzachena, will gather for the awards ceremony. The awards will be presented by a jury led by Stefano Salis, artistic director of the prize, and composed of Lina Bolzoni, Marcello Fois, Elena Loewenthal, and Chiara Valerio.

During the ceremony, open to the public, the winners of the Fiction and Nonfiction categories will be announced: competing for the Fiction category are Niccolò Ammaniti with “Il custode,” published by Einaudi, Paola Barbato with “Cuore capovolto” (Neri Pozza), and Dario Ferrari with “L'idiota di famiglia” (Sellerio), while the finalists in the Nonfiction category are Edoardo Camurri (“La vita che brucia,” Timeo), Adriana Cavarero (“Il canto delle sirene,” Castelvecchi), and Andrea Moro (“Lucrezio and the Blue-Eyed Bat,” La Nave di Teseo).

Awards have already been given to Spanish writer Javier Cercas, who will receive the 2026 International Prize; to Sicilian artist, writer, and poet Emilio Isgrò, who will receive the Mediterranean Culture Prize; and to Commander Giuseppe Lai, originally from Ozieri, who will receive the Special Prize in Porto Cervo.
