Thirty more days to allow municipalities to use the lever of territorial planning, accessing the resources in the field, to create development projects for the territories: the deadline for the presentation of expressions of interest has been extended to 31 March.
"Let's give the Municipalities more time to make the most of the support of the Region", explained the Councilor for Planning and Budget, Giuseppe Fasolino, who this morning met the Unions of Municipalities at the Councilorship headquarters, taking stock of the path optimization.
"We support the revitalization of the territories through concrete support for projects and targeted interventions that contribute to strengthening their specificities - continued the commissioner - to make them more attractive from a social, economic and environmental point of view and to promote economic diversification. to encourage participation as much as possible, we have set a new deadline, with the aim of meeting the requests and needs of the municipalities as much as possible, to which we guarantee maximum support ".
"The notice for the optimization of Territorial Planning is intended to be, especially in the post-Covid recovery phase, an opportunity for relaunching the Sardinian economy. The territories occupy a central place in the agenda of the Regional Council - has still Councilor highlighted - Not surprisingly, in addition to the investment package for local development and the fight against depopulation included in the financial maneuver, we also want to intervene with specific resources for Territorial Planning in enhancing the potential of each territory ".
The optimization process aims at favoring the strengthening of territorial strategies, and it does so on the one hand by supporting the territories in which there are greater delays or criticalities in the implementation of the interventions already financed with the aim of finding solutions that can accelerate the expenditure of resources. avoiding that nobody is left behind; on the other hand, favoring the development of optimization and completion strategies for territorial projects at a more advanced stage, encouraging virtuous experiences and promoting the dissemination of good practices.
Each territorial area can submit a single project proposal, and a second presentation window has also been foreseen in September.
