Yesterday, Brussels published in the Official Journal of the European Union the ministerial decree that sets the rules for the new flight continuity to and from the island, and now the process for publishing calls for tenders for airlines interested in obtaining funding to cover the service while guaranteeing discounted fares seems to be smooth.

With the EU's official announcement by September , the Region's timelines should be met to begin the new regime next April.

All this without taking into account any unforeseen circumstances, which are far from negligible, such as bureaucratic delays and possible appeals by those who might be excluded from the tender.
