From the B missed to the sale of the company. The current ownership of Ternana, led by president Stefano D'Alessandro, has decided to sell the club's share package. A sensational decision for the team that finished second in the championship, ahead of Torres, and that lost the promotion final against Pescara only on penalties.

As a press release explains: «Among the various reasons behind this choice are the increasingly significant corporate commitments, including in the United States, which do not allow the ownership to dedicate to the Club the attention and energy that Ternana deserves».

If a buyer is not found, Ternana will not be registered in the championship. There will be two consequences: the players will all be released and the "hole" in the group B roster will have to be filled with another team.
