Danish Holger Rune is the first finalist of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona. The world number 13 defeated Russian Karen Khachanov (number 27) in two sets, with a score of 6-3, 6-2.
His opponent for the title will be one between Carlos Alcaraz, world number 2 and tournament favourite, and Frenchman Arthur Fils, who will be playing later.
Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner is back to training again, this time in the sun of Monte Carlo. After his first outing and exchanges on the indoor courts of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the world number 1 tennis player thanked his friend Jack Draper with whom he is training, posting a photo of himself smiling right next to the British player.
“Back on the pitch, thanks Jack,” wrote Sinner, who had postponed his return to the pitch until yesterday due to the rain in recent days, eventually choosing the indoor facility in the French Riviera resort.
Thus continues the approach to the official return to competition (the Internationals in Rome), the first tournament that the champion from Alto Adige will face after the stop for the clostebol case. Then will follow the ATP of Hamburg and the Slam of Paris.
