The Teatro del Carmine in Tempio Pausania chooses to begin with a voice that knows how to dig into the heart of words: Lella Costa.
With her monologue "The Fairy," the authoritative and esteemed Milanese actress, particularly known for her theatrical monologues, presents to the audiences of Tempio and Gallura the most elusive and surprising figure in The Adventures of Pinocchio: not a simple supporting character, but a guide who orients the puppet's journey.
"Remember that the one pulling the strings is this Being hidden within us," write the performance's organizers. "Salvific and enchanting, the only female presence in the story, the Blue Fairy guides—with her recurring appearances and disappearances—the course of an archetypal and allegorical journey, sublime and grotesque, which is above all an interior journey."
The play, written by the actress herself, is designed to prompt each viewer to reflect deeply on life and their own existence. The premiere of the new season at the Teatro del Carmine is scheduled for Saturday, November 8th, at 9:00 PM: a program of eleven events (two in 2025 and nine in 2026) that intertwine prose, music, dance, and contemporary circus.
