Former mayor Romeo Frediani will lead the center-left in Tempio's municipal elections. The "progressive camp" list is supported by the Italian Left, a section of the Democratic Party, Future Left, and the April 25 Movement. Frediani (mayor of Tempio from 2010 to 2014) has accepted the candidacy and is calling on the Democratic Party to regain unity and support his proposal. Former city councilor Angelo Cossu is one of the leaders of the initiative supporting Frediani and says: "All progressive representatives will participate, without exception, even those who had expressed doubts or considered alternative paths. They see Frediani's candidacy as the most authoritative and representative synthesis."

Meanwhile, the provincial secretary of the Democratic Party, Mariangela Marchio, has addressed the agreement between Democratic Party leader Mario Addis and former regional councilor Andrea Biancareddu. Addis is reportedly already on Biancareddu's list. Marchio signed a statement: "Regarding the news of Mario Addis joining the list led by Andrea Biancareddu, the provincial and regional Democratic Party clarifies that this is a choice made exclusively in a personal capacity, which in no way represents or interprets the political line of the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party has repeatedly reiterated that the political history of Andrea Biancareddu, a candidate for Salvini's League in the regional elections, makes any alliance with him incompatible. It is therefore clear that any possible inclusion of candidates linked to the Democratic Party on former councilor Biancareddu's list cannot be supported or represented by the party. Any spaces or candidacies that Biancareddu may reserve may only concern people who choose to position themselves outside the political line of the Democratic Party of Gallura.
