Polls are closed and vote counting is underway for the municipal elections in Tempio Pausania, the only municipality in Sardinia that will have a mayor only after a runoff (two-round rules apply due to its status as the capital of the Gallura province of North-East Sardinia). The challengers are incumbent Giovanni Antonio Giuseppe Addis and civic candidate Gianna Masu.
