Nearly 200 ballots were invalidated, about twenty contested, and one section still hasn't been uploaded to the municipal data system. In Tempio, the post-election day is marked by uncertainty.
According to leaks from Tempio's municipal and court offices, candidate Andrea Biancareddu (UniAmo Tempio civic list) appears intent on requesting a verification of the vote count, in other words, a recount. Biancareddu narrowly missed out on a runoff, and indeed, tensions and protests have been rampant in Tempio's sixteen electoral districts. For example, over the invalidation of ballots when, along with the selection of councilor candidates, the vote for the mayoral candidate was not explicitly indicated. The margin between candidate Gianna Masu, who advanced to the second round of voting, and Andrea Biancareddu, who was excluded, is slim.
The data shows that the most voted candidate overall is the outgoing deputy mayor (on Gianni Addis's list, which reached the runoff), Anna Paola Aisoni , with over eight hundred votes. Aisoni stated: "I am moved by the trust Tempio has once again shown me." Whatever happens, Andrea Biancareddu, Simona Chessa, and Fabrizio Carta are already on the City Council, in addition to the mayoral candidates in the runoff, along with the most voted candidates from each list in the second round.
