Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Taylor wrote on Instagram , sharing a series of photos showing the Kansas City Chiefs football star kneeling before her with the ring.

The news, which came after two years of engagement, caused a sensation on the internet: in the photo, the American pop star is wearing a $30,000 Cartier watch and a $400 Ralph Lauren striped dress, which sold out just twenty minutes after the announcement.

On her finger, of course, was the ring: an enormous Old Mine-cut diamond by designer Kindred Lubeck. Estimated cost? From $500,000 to $1 million.

Swift even received good wishes from Donald Trump , even though she had campaigned against him in the last election: "I wish her the best of luck," the president replied to a reporter who asked him for a comment on the matter. "I think he's a great player, and she's a fantastic person. So I wish them the best of luck."

Swift's Instagram post garnered over 1 million likes in less than 10 minutes, and many predict it will become one of the most liked posts in the app's history (it currently has over 18 million, surpassing her previous personal record).

Swift is currently launching "The Life of a Showgirl," her twelfth album, which will be released in October.
