The characteristics and prospects of the Italian tax system were analyzed in the talk "Tax and businesses: burdens and opportunities", which took place in the Giorgio Pisano room of the Unione Sarda (streaming on Unionesarda,it) , as part of the protocol agreement signed by the editorial group and the University to describe the university's activities, studies and research and transfer precious knowledge to the economic fabric.

In the discussion, moderated by the editor-in-chief of the Union Giuseppe Deiana, the teachers Rinaldo Brau (director of the Department of Economic and Business Sciences), Alessandro Mura and Gianluigi Roberto ( Business Economics), Andrea Poddighe (Tax Law) and the regional president of the labor consultants association Paola Cogotti. It was immediately clarified that «the Italian system is characterized by a medium-high overall tax pressure».

In recent months, new measures have been launched in an attempt to make taxation more "humane". One of these is the composition with creditors, the most significant innovation : «It is possible - it was said during the forum at the Unione Sarda - to stipulate an agreement with the financial administration to determine, within two years, the tax base and therefore the taxes to be paid. It is a revolution compared to the past. For the taxpayer there are advantages for the purposes of the assessment which should be addressed to subjects who do not adhere to the agreement".

The "early cross-examination" was then introduced.

The video features interviews with Andrea Poddighe, Paola Cogotti and Rinaldo Brau who focused on the potential of artificial intelligence to speed up tax procedures.
