The president of the regional Fitet, Simone Carrucciu will do the honors. “Sardinia is well known to the big names in table tennis, both for militancy in clubs or as opponents. This edition of the championships is a further step forward. Thanks to the local authorities, such as the Municipality of Cagliari and the Region of Sardinia, figures of high professionalism and competence are at work to ensure the best welcome and the success of the event. I am sure that thanks to these initiatives, the table tennis movement in Sardinia will have a further stimulus towards the growth and involvement of everyone, from the institutions, to the Federation, to Coni Sardegna, practitioners and enthusiasts at all levels".
The competitions of the third category will continue on Sunday and Monday with the individual men's and women's competitions.
