A few days before the finale of "Amici di Maria De Filippi," Sunday May 17 on Canale 5, a surprise for the young singer from Uta, ready for the final rush together with Nicola, Elena, Emiliano, Lorenzo and Alessio.
Her family came to give her strength: "Now I would like you to close your eyes and imagine us in that square, on that sofa, and us next to you," Angie's brother says off-screen as she sits on the sofa looking out at the square overlooking Santa Maria di Uta and begins to cry, knowing what is about to happen.
And in fact his family appears from the LED wall.
The most special hug is the one reserved for their mother: "How lovely to see you," they say. And then: "We've always been here."
"You're giving us so much," they repeat. "I remember the car rides to take me to the choir, the sleepless nights, the trips to Milan, you had to take the day off work. I remember everything. These are sacrifices," Angie whispers.
"That we would do ten thousand times over again," her mother tells her. "Be proud of yourself." "Thank you for teaching me so many things," her brother says sweetly. "You're the one who taught me so many things, you're my mentor," Angie replies.
Angie, aka Angelica Ibba, was one of the absolute stars of this edition of Amici 25: having entered the school after making a name for herself on TikTok, Ti lascio una canzone, The Voice, and Sanremo Giovani, she has built a highly recognizable career, episode after episode: a raspy voice, a well-defined melancholic pop identity, and a stage presence that has grown throughout the evening, building a loyal fanbase.
In the semi-final , she performed her unreleased song “Signorina,” which quickly became one of the most commented on social media among the remaining contestants.
