Suitable areas: agreement very close, majority opens on references to the Statute

Now the agreement on the Suitable Areas bill is really close.

The group leaders of both sides and the councilors for Industry and Urban Planning remained together until recently to evaluate the requests for modifications proposed by the opposition.

In particular, the inclusion in law of the principles of the statute, especially in reference to article 3 which provides for the primary competence of the Region in matters of urban planning and construction (key point of the Pratobello 24 law); the improvement of the passage on energy communities; the revision of the article which provides for exemptions for municipalities that want to install renewable energy plants in unsuitable areas; the establishment of a special commission on energy operating for the entire legislature under the presidency of the minority; the commitment to work on an implementing provision of the Statute to protect the territory and have a stronger instrument in the future.

On all these points, according to what emerges, the majority would not have placed any veto. Only with regard to the derogations for the Municipalities, would it have placed the condition that they are still foreseen, however passing through the instrument of referendums.

The group leaders are called for tomorrow morning at 9:30. On that occasion, Campo largo will give a definitive answer to the center-right. The Chamber is scheduled for 10 but could be postponed to the afternoon, if not the next day, to better define the agreement. This being the case, the bill could also be approved next week.
