Carbonia. "Cinema in Fabbrica... attesa il Carbonia Film Festival" (Cinema in the Factory... Waiting for the Carbonia Film Festival) is off to a flying start, a series of screenings hosted by the Fabbrica del Cinema, the Masala theater, in the Grande Miniera di Serbariu (Great Mine). Following the success of Perla Sardella's film "Portuali" on October 7th, this is a highly topical insight into the protests of Genoese dockworkers over the docking and transit of ships carrying weapons and explosives destined for war zones.

The event will be repeated on Tuesday, October 14th at 6:00 PM with Visioni Sarde, a selection of the nine short films finalists in the section dedicated to Sardinian authors of the 30th edition of Visioni Italiane, the national festival for short, medium-length films, and documentaries organized by the Cineteca di Bologna. A panel discussion will be held with directors Carolina Melis and Matteo Manunta.

A selection of seven works will be screened during the evening: Fratelli by Matteo Manunta, Amare ancora by Giuseppe Carrieri, Gonçalo Claro da Fonseca, Come siamo diventare by Christiano Pahler, Island for rent by Elio Turno Arthemalle, Tore Cubeddu; S'ozzastru The Millennial Tree by Carolina Melis, Mio dad è superman by Giovanni Maria D'Angelo, Shakespeare in smoke by Francesco Cocco.
