Monumenti Aperti Alghero confirms its success, significantly exceeding the numbers of 2024. The event, which sees the collaboration of the Municipality of Alghero, the Alghero Foundation, the Imago Mundi Association and the city schools and volunteers, has recorded record numbers in its 33 sites and 8 visitable itineraries. An army of 1,500 volunteers including students, teachers, associations and citizens, 10 public and private bodies involved, with many new features compared to past editions: all participants in a success that has translated into over 22,000 signatures - 6,000 more than the 2024 edition - for a turnout of around 25,000 people.

"Thanks to all those who have made this edition of the culture festival truly special. Alghero always fascinates: tourists, visitors, citizens who want to discover more of the beauty of their city and their territory ", comments Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto. The record for visits goes to the Cantine Sella e Mosca (1,473) followed closely by the G. Tommasiello Prison (1,468) and the Coral Museum (1,362), the Civic Theater (1,271). Excellent results for the new features of this edition, such as the Angeli Custodi complex, Villa Maria Pia, the Alghero 1 Scout Headquarters, the 103rd Murone Battery of Monte Doglia and the Sanctuary of Valverde.

Both the Councilors for Culture and Tourism, Raffaella Sanna and Ornella Piras, and the President of the Alghero Foundation Graziano Porcu join in thanking all the great protagonists of the event, underlining the strength of the format, namely the active participation of volunteers in illustrating the rich heritage of historical testimonies . Also present this year is the association Pensiero Felice with the initiative Cultura Senza Barriere, an important contribution to the accessibility of the event, with the dedicated escort service for people with disabilities in accessible sites.
