The film is from 29 years ago, but yesterday, May 14th, it was the second highest grossing film in Italy, behind a blockbuster like ''Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes''. Thanks to the Cagliari-based distribution company Cat People. Born on the initiative of Raffaele Petrini and Alessandro Tavola, two friends with a passion for cinema who since 2020 have bet on the revival of important films, even if dated, or great classics, worthy of being seen (or re-watched) on the big screen .

After the success with some films by Dario Argento, they decided to revive the film by Mathieu Kassovits, a cult film awarded at Cannes for best director, set in the Parisian suburbs, now in the restored 4K version. A big bet, because the distribution took place in 170 theaters. The success was immediate, the audience made up mainly of very young people.

«A great victory for us small Sardinian distributors, finding ourselves on the podium of the big ones, and confirmation that we are doing a good job», said Raffaele Petrini. The film is also on the bill in Cagliari, Sassari, Quartucciu, Sestu and Iglesias.
