Ciriaco Offeddu from Nuoro (editorial writer for L'Unione Sarda) and Katia Fundarò from Cagliari are the two Sardinian writers admitted to the 2025 edition of the Strega Prize. The games ended yesterday and together with three titles, not by island authors, from the Cagliari publishing house Arkadia (which already has a novel ready to go) and one from Nemapress from Alghero, this is the representation of Sardinia at the most important Italian literary prize.

The presence of Ciriaco Offeddu stands out with “Istella Mea” published by Giunti and proposed by Giuseppe Conte. A book that is already a success . After having debuted last week occupying the first position in the ranking of best-selling novels in Italy, it confirms its primacy also in the second. Katia Fundarò is competing with her first work “Familienalbum” which brings to the fore the young Cagliari publisher Ischìre directed by the writer Ciro Auriemma , signature of the cultural pages of L'Unione Sarda.

Speaking of Sardinian publishers, the experienced Arkadia is admitted with three other titles (after Mario Falcone who already entered in the middle of the month with “Leuta”): Anna di Cagno with “L'anno della garuffa” proposed by Ilaria Catastini, “Il desiderio imperfetto” by Sebastiano Martini, proposed by Claudio Strinati, “La laguna del disincanto” by Massimiliano Scudeletti, proposed by Giovanni Pacchiano. Nemapress of Alghero, led by the writer Neria De Giovanni , presents itself with Giuseppe Procaccini with “Porte di vetro. Novelle intrecciate e tre intermezzi”, proposed by Sergio Santoro.
